My passport not being recognized
WebMar 1, 2016 · The drive is seen in Device Manager, as WD My Passport 0730, and under properties it is shown as working perfectly. There is no yellow marker either next to the drive, or the USB Mass Storage icon. However, it is not recognised by Explorer, and there is no drive name assigned to the drive under device Management.

WebMar 2, 2016 · Plus the issue of not being detected when plugged into a 3.0 port is not isolated with the Ultra model on just 10 alone ruling the version as the cause. I suspect the model is older or has a problem and why 10 isn't detecting as you see there from having an older chip inside as another possible cause despite having the same model name.
